I DON’T want to quit! I don’t NEED to quit! I walk a mile every morning. I bicycle 7-10 miles each day. My blood pressure is great. I’m old, kinda fat, and perfectly healthy.

I’m tired of being “demonized”. I’m tired of being “denormailzed” I’m tired of leaving a controlled environment in order to indulge in a harmless (to others) legal, heavily taxed, LEGAL (oops, did I already say that… LEGAL?) lifestyle choice. I’m tired of being a part of 25% of the US population being discriminated against and being made outcasts.

My lifestyle choice may hurt me. IT’S NOT ANYONE ELSES DAMNED BUSINESS. After researching it till it hurts, I KNOW that it harms no one BUT me…

If anyone finds my choices offensive they can STAY AWAY FROM ME. If anyone finds the choices of the venues I choose to patronize offensive, STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

The next person that comments on my personal choice to smoke, and remains within my reach for more than the 0.2 – 0.3 seconds it takes me to reach them is going to suffer a fracture or serious soft tissue injury to whatever body part of theirs I can reach at that moment. Sixty, sixteen, thirty-six, or six years old… I DON’T CARE! ANY of them should know better!

I will smoke when I want, where I want within the bounds of common sense and safety. I won’t smoke around explosives, fuel or flammables. I won’t patronize places that refuse to allow me to smoke. “No Smoke, No Dough”. If a person politely asks me to not smoke in their presence, I will, if prudence, friendship, or decorum dictates, refrain from doing so. If they quote health reasons or ORC 3794, the fascist, farcical “law” to me I will blow smoke in their face, and perhaps urinate or defecate on their shoes.

Today, Right now, this VERY moment, I am DONE BEING A DOORMAT.
